Can anyone describe the reasoning for the following changes?:
- Ball is dead until you start to call the score. No penalty associated with serving while the ball is dead. No penalty for starting the serving motion before the score is completely called. (Still a penalty if you contact the ball on your serve before the score is completely called).
- Players can ask if they are in the correct position. Referee stops the 10 second rule when a player asks if they are correct server, server number or position.
